JANESVILLE – After a back and forth across two meetings, the Rock County Board settled on language in a lobbying resolution Thursday night that would push for the state to pick up more of the financial burden of the circuit court system and lessen the burden on Wisconsin counties.

Governor Evers proposed a $1 billion, 10-year renewal in his 2025-27 budget for the conservation program established in 1989. While the county has benefited from previous funding for trails and parks, supervisors expressed mixed opinions about endorsing the state-level spending.
