JANESVILLE — In what it called “a major milestone for our mission,” the Children’s Museum of Rock County said Friday it has bought the historic site it plans to remake into a downtown destination for family fun and learning.

The Children’s Museum of Rock County Foundation said in a release Friday it had completed its purchase of the former bank building at 100 W. Milwaukee St.
