JANESVILLE �� Nearly a decade in the works, UW Health is going operational with its Med Flight base at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport south of Janesville Monday, its third regional base for an air transport vehicle to hospitals.

One helicopter and one ambulance will be on site. There will be an emergency medicine team that transports. Also on site will be a specialized pediatric neonatal team. There will be a hangar for storage, along with living quarters so a crew can be there around the clock.
